Why am I afraid to tell you who I am?
Because that’s all I’ve got. (And you might not like it.)
Writing sparkling, punchy copy takes skill. And guts. It’s much easier to take comfort in ‘tried and true’ words and phrases.
Like ‘passionate’, ‘bespoke’ and ‘tailored business solutions’.
Dry words. Empty words. Words which are used every day by thousands and thousands of companies.
When you write words which try to say everything, you can end up saying nothing.
We should never try to appeal to everybody in our target market. Because success is being disliked by the right people.
Some in our market won’t like us. That thought should actually make us happy, because knowing who is NOT our ideal customer helps us find out who IS.
And this in turn will help us see how how we are different.
